Assyria lived in Northern part of Mesopotamia near the start of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. The Assyrian Empire rose and fell several times throughout history. located in Mesopotamia north-east of Babylon, where merchants who traded goods. The trading increased the wealth in the Assyrian empire. That also helped the growth an the prosperity of Assyria. The Assyrian empire was also ruled by an monarchy like, The Akkadian empire. The Assyrians first rose to the hight of power went the Akkadian empire had fallen. With the Akkadian empire out of the picture, the Babylonian empire had controll of the Southern part of ancient Mesopotamia, and the Assyrian empire had complete controll of the Northern part of Mesopatamia.
